Keren Goldenberg

Meet Keren Goldenberg

I know what it feels like to carry more than your fair share of challenges. My own journey began when I immigrated to the United States and faced the many hurdles of finding my place in a new culture. Those experiences not only shaped who I am, but inspired me to dedicate my life to helping others who feel the weight of belonging, identity, and expectation. As a therapist, a mom, and someone who values both heritage and growth, I bring compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the stories my clients share. You’ll often find me exploring new foods, planning a trip, or honoring my ancestors through embroidery — quiet moments that keep me grounded and connected.

Much of my work centers around people who live with invisible burdens: the effects of complex trauma, the echoes of intergenerational pain, and the pressure of being a high achiever in a demanding world. I am especially passionate about supporting first-generation Americans and child immigrants who carry the cultural hardships of navigating two worlds. My doctoral research has focused on how collective trauma leaves its imprint across generations, particularly through the ongoing impact of antisemitism — כאן זה מקום בטוח בשבילך — this is a safe place for you.

In therapy with me, you’ll find a space that is warm, respectful, and tailored to your needs. I draw from a range of approaches — including psychodynamic therapy, Jungian depth work, EMDR, and DBT skills — while also integrating shadow work to help you uncover and heal the parts of yourself that often stay hidden. I provide therapy in English, Hebrew, and Russian, making sure language is never a barrier to feeling understood.

Professional Therapist Consultations

As a Jewish immigrant and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical expertise to my consulting work. Born and raised in Israel to Soviet Jewish parents, I immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 10.

My doctoral research explores cultural complexes within the Russian-speaking Jewish community, with a specific focus on the intergenerational impact of antisemitism. I examine the epigenetic and social transmission of collective trauma, drawing from depth psychological, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed frameworks.
