Leslie Buckmaster

Meet Leslie Buckmaster

Hi, I’m Leslie Buckmaster. I know how heavy life can feel when loss, change, or family struggles reshape everything you thought you knew.

As a widowed mother of two, I carry my own lived experience of grief, parenting, and rebuilding after hardship and it deeply influences how I show up in the therapy room. I truly understand how complicated it can be to navigate single parenting, co-parenting, raising neurodivergent kids.

I became a therapist after years of working in the DCFS system. I wanted to make a deeper impact on those who experianced abuse in their childhoods, domestic violence, complicated divorce situations. Later on, my journey as a grieving mother to grieving neurodiverse kids, I knew that my purpose in life is to bear witness to those in pain and help them navigate their own healing journey.

My goal is always to create a space where you truly feel seen and supported. No matter how overwhelming the circumstances may seem.

Outside of therapy, I stay grounded through my spirituality, hiking, and seeking out new adventures. The number 555 has been my gentle reminder that change can be sacred and that growth often begins in uncertainty. I believe every person has the healing power within themselves, even if it feels hidden in the moment.

In our work together, I perfectly blend psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused strategies, somatic awareness, and CBT & DBT to help you heal, grow, and create a path forward that feels authentic to YOU.
