ESA Letters

Many people find comfort, safety, and healing with the help of an animal.

An Emotional Support Animal (ESA) can make a big difference for people living with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges. At Sunray Psychotherapy, we provide ESA letters through a careful and ethical process, so you can access the support you need while meeting all legal requirements.

What is an ESA Letter?
An ESA letter is a legal document written by a mental health professional. It states that you have a mental health condition and that having an animal helps with your symptoms. An ESA letter can give you certain protections, like being able to live with your animal in housing that normally does not allow pets.

What is required by law?

At Sunray Psychotherapy, we provide a comprehensive assessment after at least 30 days of therapy. This helps us understand your needs fully and ensures your letter meets both ethical and legal standards.
